A strict conservative who says he's nonpartisan, Voetee believes that too many federal programs are encroachments on individual liberty. He advocates an across-the-board reduction in the Federal Government, from taxation to regulation, education to commerce, and also supports a national sales tax, which, he argues, would limit government spending to legitimate levels.
