"Pres is inviting Conan & I to come have a beer & try 2 settle this. This could be a teachable moment"
Newark Mayor Cory Booker and late-night host Conan O'Brien had an epic new-media faux feud in September, after Conan joked that Booker's new health plan for his struggling city was "a bus ticket out of town." The jab prompted Booker to reply in a YouTube video that Conan had been "banned" from Newark Liberty International Airport. After further back-and-forth sniping, Booker suggested the two come together with the help of Obama to solve their differences, lampooning the White House beer summit that capped the Henry Louis Gates, Jr. racism controversy. The Rose Garden brews weren't necessary: Conan simply invited Booker to The Tonight Show set to bury the hatchet.
