When Mia Farrow adopted a 7-year-old South Korean orphan in 1977, she wanted to share her life with her. She ended up sharing her long-term romantic partner too. In 1992, Farrow separated from Woody Allen, her beau of 12 years, after she discovered nude photos he had taken of 22-year-old Soon-Yi Previn, whom Farrow had adopted with an ex-husband. The affair appears to have been based on more than naughty photos: Allen and Previn married in 1997 and have adopted two daughters of their own. In a 2005 interview, Allen said the painful revelation of his affair with Previn, who is 35 years his junior, ultimately set him free. "It was just one of the fortuitous events, one of the great pieces of luck in my life," he said.
