An Englishman in New York

April's been getting quite a reputation and I've been eating in her restaurants the whole time I've been in New York. The Spotted Pig was around the corner from my first apartment. Food is a big deal in New York and ironically quite a successful British import and that's why I thought she'd be a great person to shoot. The challenge with a picture like this is not just to show someone at a stove. New York is the most photographed city in the world so to present it in a way we haven't all seen 100 times before was a challenge I found both difficult and exciting.
