Burial Mask of Ka Nefer Nefer
This wood and plaster mask, from about the 13th century B.C., was purchased by the St. Louis Art Museum in 1998 for a half million dollars. Two years ago Egypt charged that it may have been stolen in the 1980s from a storeroom of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The St. Louis museum disputes the claim.
