After Lara Logan, CBS's chief foreign affairs correspondent, was sexually assaulted while reporting in Cairo's Tahrir Square, New York University fellow Nir Rosen (@nirrosen) posted dismissive remarks on Twitter, saying, "I'm rolling my eyes at all the attention she'll get," and calling Logan "a major war monger." The backlash was instant, and no amount of back-stepping could clean up Rosen's crass remarks. He deleted the tweets and apologized profusely, but ultimately Rosen resigned from his position at NYU's Center on Law and Security though not from Twitter.
