We're thankful the GOP contenders and their various "oops" and "Ubeki-beki-beki-stan-stan" moments have given Jon Stewart such good material to work with. Ever since Indecision 2000, The Daily Show has simultaneously made a complete mockery of, and shed a poignant light on, every presidential election. This year, as Republicans decide who will face off against President Barack Obama in 2012, each GOP candidate has stepped up to the plate against front-runner Mitt Romney and, in most cases, crashed and burned. In the last show taped before Thanksgiving, Stewart gave a hilarious play-by-play of the campaign so far, complete with the ridiculous trappings from the left, right and center of the media. Stewart has also taken plenty of shots at individual candidates: Herman Cain for "not liking to read," Michele Bachmann for, well, having all sorts of issues and Rick Perry for being "George W. Bush on steroids." Not since Stewart shamed Donald Trump for eating pizza with a fork has the show been this good. We can only hope it will continue into the general election.
