Back in 1988, Jack Rebney spent two weeks in Iowa filming a sales pitch for his RV business. Four minutes of outtakes featuring Rebney's chorus of F bombs were so funny, they were passed around for years on VHS tapes and then became one of the first viral hits on YouTube, the compiled clip racking up millions of page views. Ben Steinbauer's documentary Winnebago Man, which hit theaters in July, reveals that Rebney had moved to a mountain top and was living a "hermit-like existence", unaware of his Internet following or that forlorn outtakes can be the ticket to fame.
