Each year over the July 4 holiday, aliens descend upon Roswell, N.M. There are aliens with cone heads and ones with four legs. Aliens that would frighten small children and even extraterrestrial beauty queens. The Roswell UFO Festival celebrates one of the most debated incidents in history: an alleged flying-saucer crash landing 30 miles outside the town in July 1947. It's been more than 60 years, and questions still remain. Either way, the festival doesn't discriminate: organizers welcome alien enthusiasts and skeptics alike to partake in a costume contest and a host of activities, including talks with alien experts and authors, live entertainment and a parade.
