The Traveling Wilburys united some of the brightest lights in music: Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. Formed in 1988 after the singers (and friends) spontaneously collaborated on a song to accompany "This Is Love," a single from Harrison's Cloud Nine album, the supergroup recorded one album together, 1988's Grammy-winning Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1. Orbison died a few months after the album's release, and the four remaining musicians reunited two years later to record their second disc, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3.
