Kia's 2011 Sorento is an updated crossover vehicle with many sport utility characteristics but in a more efficient package; it carries up to seven passengers. The Sorrento includes features such as heated outside mirrors with integrated LED turn-signal indicators, automatic headlamps, fog lamps and more interior space than earlier versions. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine produces 175 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque coupled to a new six-speed automatic transmission, which together provide ample power and improved fuel efficiency. A V6 engine is optional on the Sorento but the thrifty 4-cylinder engine is standard, delivering 21 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway. The 2011 Sorento is also the first Kia designed in California and built in Georgia instead of South Korea.
