After Microsoft debuted Project Natal and Nintendo showed off its accuracy-enhancing Wii Motion Plus, it was almost inevitable that Sony would unveil its own movement-based controller. Still a prototype, the yet-to-be-named device looks like a small wand with a glowing ball on top. The already released Playstation Eye camera tracks movement from the light-emitting sphere to judge movement and depth. Sure, the wireless wand controller looks like a cheap copycat to capitalize on the Wii's success. But while it may not yet have a name, the project ain't vaporware: Sony won over the E3 crowd with an impressive live tech demo. The device shows a great deal of promise, as long as Sony can make it look less ridiculous before its 2010 release.
