As a critic, I am legally required to unquestioningly love anything Pixar stamps its adorable logo on. Still, it's worth pointing out that to stoke our interest in its movie made in 3-D (for select theaters), Pixar didn't need to hand out glasses or ally with flavored-water-selling lizards, à la Monsters vs. Aliens. It just offered a glimpse of a whimsical-looking story and invited us for the ride.
