In Hawaii, an entrepreneur has come up with a way to toast the new President by waking up and smelling the coffee. Kona Joe, the coffee-selling alter ego of Dr. Joseph Alban, has created the Barack O'Blend a mix of Hawaiian, Indonesian and Kenyan coffee beans "in honor of our Native Born Son," and encourages buyers to "sip the story of our 44th president." The label proclaims that there's "No French roast here this coffee, is proudly labeled 'American roast'." The coffee made its debut just like President Obama himself on Jan. 20.
