Did you know that the 44th U.S. President took office in Berlin before Washington D.C.? And that he constantly has German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy by his side? No, this isn't some alternate Euro-centric universe, but rather Madame Tussauds' museum in Germany, which unveiled its wax figure of Barack Obama on Jan. 15 (eight identical Obamas will be displayed in each of the Madam Tussauds worldwide.) The Berlin museum made headlines on its opening day in July 2008 when one of its first visitors ripped the head off a wax figure of Adolf Hitler. It's fair to conclude that the museum anticipates a far smoother reception for its newest resident.
