Israeli singer Dana International at the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest
Born Yaron Cohen in Tel Aviv, this Israeli would firstly become Sharon Cohen after undertaking sex reassignment surgery in 1993. Five years later, the newly christened Dana International shocked the Eurovision world by winning with the aptly named Diva. The track went on to sell 400,000 copies around the globe but her career never reached those heights again. Israel hasn't won the Eurovision since then either so perhaps a reunion would help out both parties.
