#3. Appalachian Upset
Michigan's football team started out the season as a national championship contender. Appalachian State, a school from the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina that plays in something called the Football Championship Subdivision, traveled to Michigan's "Big House" for an early season beat-down. But a Michigan tune-up turned into one of college football's most unfathomable upsets, as App State blocked a Michigan field goal on the final play to secure a 34-32 win.
