Kabuki Brushes
Nars' latest line of Kabuki makeup brushes blends history with modernity, drawing from the Japanese beauty rituals of Geiko and Kabuki theater. Made of supersoft black goat hair, the Yachiyo ($50) and Ita ($38.50) multifunctional brushes are designed to define and contour cheekbones. And the extra-wide dome and dense bristles allow for a smooth sweep of powder.
Kids' Furniture
Pint-size design mavens can now have something scaled down to their specifications as more and more furniture companies get in on the kid act. Hästens is making tiny mattresses, and Poltrona Frau has taken its legendary Vanity Fair armchair and shrunk it for the smaller set. One-third the original size, the Art Deco-style Baby Vanity ($2,600) comes in classic bright red or candid ivory. All natural materials—from the Pelle Frau leather upholstery to the aged-beech frame—make for an ultra-stylish place to curl up.
