Liev Schreiber sank his teeth greedily into the role of Barry Champlain, a cynical radio talk show host in Eric Bogosian's 1987 play. But two decades later, the play's calculated misanthropy seems a little forced and dated (talk show hosts have found other ways to be obnoxious). And for all of Schreiber's talent, Bogosian's sleazy star turn in the role he created was more convincing.
