Brooke Army Medical Center
Erin Trieb / VII Mentor Program for TIME
Moldings
At the Center for the Intrepid, nothing is outsourced. The center has a full prosthetics lab where wounded warriors are fitted for prosthetic arms and legs and IDEO devices. All prosthetics from the simplest rods to the most complex robotic arms and hands are made at the center. Here, a collection of moldings will be used to make prosthetic legs and IDEO devices for wounded warriors who are undergoing rehabilitation after being severely wounded in combat.
