Bay Head
The boroughs of Bay Head and neighboring Mantaloking make up 2 miles (3.2 km) of unspoiled, clean and uncrowded beaches. Restricted-development ordinances have kept the town looking close to the way it did at the beginning of the 20th century, with cedar-shake cottages lining the beach and nearby Barnegat Bay. Visitors can take their children to catch crabs in the bay, play tennis on local courts or try the renowned crumb cake at Muellers Bakery in the quaint village center.
