Pearl Poiré Tiara (Denmark)
Queen Margrethe II has an impressive collection of headgear, and this pearl poiré tiara is among her finest. Made in 1825 as a wedding gift from King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia to his daughter Louise, it consists of 18 pear-shaped pearls that dangle from diamond arches. Louise, Queen of the Netherlands, passed it on to her daughter Lousia, Queen of Sweden and Norway, who left it to Margrethe.
