Though many Palestinians see the presence of the settlements as a threat to a viable Palestinian state, many of its residents take the work offered by the developers. Unemployment in the West Bank runs high; A 2010 estimate from the CIA World Fact Book puts joblessness at 19%. These workers are building a housing project in Har Homa.
