A Brief History of Intergalactic Warfare

The first television show to explore interstellar warfare, Captain Video ran for six years on the DuMont Television Network, enjoying immense popularity with both children and adults. Set in the distant future, it details the adventures of a group of fighters who defend truth and justice in our solar system as well as on human colonies and planets around other stars. Because it was filmed live, it offered little opportunity for special effects and its action sequences had to be kept to a minimum.
