Twisted Sister
A schoolboy playing one of the ugly sisters is helped with his costume backstage during a production of Cinderella at Ladycross Catholic Boys' Preparatory School in Seaford, East Sussex, in 1950. The Ugly Sisters must always tread a thin line between being comic characters and out and out villains. While an intrinsic part of the Cinderella story, versions of them can also be found woven into other pantomimes.
