The Dirty Fork
Eric Idle plays a restaurant manager under a little bit too much stress in this episode from the first season of Flying Circus. After a couple complains that a fork at their table "has a spot of dirt on it," Idle sits down and apologizes, "humbly, deeply and sincerely," then explains the kind of stress he is facing and bursts into tears. Despite the efforts of the cook (John Cleese) to defuse the situation, the manager stabs himself in the stomach with the fork, declaring, "It's the end! The end of the line!" and falls down dead.
