While Bono may be U2's most recognizable member, it is The Edge who has given the group its unique sound. His percussive, shimmering guitar lines rely on a variety of digital delay and reverb effects. He cites the Gibson Explorer as his signature instrument, but is said to keep more than 200 types of guitars in the studio.
