The Conspirator
Throughout his career, Redford has tried to maintain a healthy perspective on fame and stardom. "In Hollywood, all you have to do is make a success and then you can have terms that are pretty much your own," he said in an interview with Esquire. "You have the opportunity to remain independent as long as you have success." In his most recent project, Redford directs The Conspirator, the story of Mary Surratt, the lone woman charged as a co-conspirator in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Starring Robin Wright, and James McAvoy, the film opens April 15, 2011.
