The Message
Savage originally planned to write a satirical column, in which he thought he would flip the paradigm of straight advice columnist offering uninformed advice to gay people, to a gay columnist offering uninformed advice to straight people. He quickly however found himself hearing from real people with real problems who sought him out for help. Twenty years later, Savage has emerged as a tireless and occasionally cranky devotee to the questions and conundrums his international audience finds themselves in.
