Actor Jim Parsons

Landing A Role
In 2007 Parsons got a break when he won the role of Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom about five characters who all have a background in science. The show is currently in its fourth season. The photo above, from the episode entitled "The Maternal Capacitance" had Parsons play opposite Christine Baranski, who, as Mrs. Hofstadter made guest appearances on the show in season two.
