The Road to Acting
Born in Houston, Texas Parsons became interested in acting after playing a Kola-Kola bird in the school production of The Elephant's Child. In 2001, after graduating from a classical theater masters program at the University of San Diego, he moved to New York to pursue acting full-time. Although he successfully auditioned for a number of television roles, none of the shows were picked up by the networks. In the meantime, he found work in off-Broadway productions, commercials, and the occasional television episode. He also had minor roles in movies like Garden State and School for Scoundrels.
