A Rocky World
The success of Stallone's Rocky would spawn a total of five sequels spanning over 30 years, with each grossing at least $100 million at the box office. The Rocky films would pit the "Italian Stallion" against a slew of opponents ranging from Thunderlips, played by Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea in Rocky III to a menacing Soviet-era Russian, above right, (Dolph Lundgren) in Rocky IV.
