Between stints as Rocky and Rambo, Stallone experimented with a variety of acting roles to mixed critical and popular reception. His role as the Jimmy Hoffa-esque character, Johnny Kovak, in the 1978 film F.I.S.T. was critically applauded, while his 1984 comedy Rhinestone, co-starring Dolly Parton, was universally panned.
