Alpine Skier Lindsey Vonn

Overcoming Obstacles
After conquering her injury (and getting married to Olympic skier Thomas Vonn) in 2007, Vonn won the World Cup title in 2008. Her win in the same event in the following year made her the first woman to win this title back-to-back and put her among the front ranks of her sport heading into the Vancouver Games.
