Alpine Skier Lindsey Vonn

During training at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, Vonn crashed and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Although she injured her hip, Vonn continued on to compete in the event. She placed eighth overall, but because of her dedication, she was honored with the U.S. Olympic Spirit Award.
