Garrison Keillor, Master Storyteller

Ann Heisenfelt / AP

Ole-Timey
Companion is a throwback to pre-television days when radio variety shows brought music, comedy and storytelling into American homes. The stories are set in the semi-fictional town of Lake Wobegon, a charming, unpretentious place, where, in Keillor's words, "all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average." Like his predecessor Mark Twain, Keillor takes his live show on the road, performing all over America.
