A compact campus just a few miles from downtown San Antonio, the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) is the home of the Center for the Intrepid, the premiere facility for amputees and troops with salvaged limbs. Here, a wounded service member who lost both legs to a bomb blast works out in the center's main physical rehabilitation floor.
