Michelle, Heath and 'Brokeback Mountain'
In 2004, while shooting Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain, Williams met the rising star Heath Ledger. In the film, they play husband and wife and, as the movie took shape, so did their real-life relationship. The two had a daughter together, though never married. (Ledger died an untimely death in 2008). Michelle's performance in the movie won rave reviews. She received a Critic's Choice Award and received Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her performance.
