Much of Pollan's latest work relates his concern over the current state of food in America. "These days, the way we farm and the way we process our food, both of which have been industrialized and centralized over the last few decades, are endangering our health." His prescription? "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants. That, more or less, is the short answer to the supposedly incredibly complicated and confusing question of what we humans should eat in order to be maximally healthy."
