Obviously, no western which features William Bendix stumping around in chaps and spurs could hope to be taken seriously; most of the time Streets doesn't even try. It offers a reasonable amount of outdoor scenery, a short measure of shooting and riding and much too much brooding over whether Ranger Holden should betray his old pal Carey. When Carey murders Ranger Bendix in cold blood, the solution is fairly simple. The film winds up with a fadeout shot of Mona and Holden exchanging a long look, presumably of love, across Carey's corpse.
