Last summer Dick Gump sent a buyer to snatch a last $250,000 worth of Chinese art out of the Communist path. He is undismayed by the thought that Gump's will be unable to buy more from China for a long time, if ever. "Look at all the cultures we haven't tapped," he says. "I may buy East Indian, African, or Polynesian and Persian. Can't get a store too identified with one thing. I don't want to be a Fifth Avenue gallery with an Oriental cast."
