There were several standout dresses at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, which kicked off the exhibition "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty." But heiress and socialite Daphne Guinness best embodied McQueen's avant-garde spirit, dramatic designs and impeccable tailoring in a gray feathered number by the late designer. Guinness's gown aside, the entire exhibition, which drew hours-long lines even after being extended a week, proved a great moment for fashion this year. More than 660,000 people saw "Savage Beauty," making it the Costume Institute's most popular show and the eighth most viewed exhibition in Met history.
