Ever since her rough-and-tumble 2008 presidential-primary campaign against then Senator Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been an object of fascination for the D.C. rumor mill. From baseless whispers about a job swap with Vice President Joe Biden to absurd speculation that she "plans" to challenge Obama for President again in 2012, Clinton has loomed large in the imaginations of Washington denizens. For her part, Clinton has repeatedly denied interest in any of the above, and claims that she plans to leave politics altogether after 2012. Even for Washington, that's pretty definitive.
