Jeb Bush
A successful businessman and former two-term governor of Florida, Jeb Bush has all the family charm and political pedigree, without George W.'s tendency to wrestle with the English language. He would have made the perfect Republican presidential candidate, the thinking went, if only his older brother hadn't gone there first. But perennial Jeb-for-President whispers always end the same way: Bush says no, and the GOP's rainmakers move on to the next shiny object. This year was no exception.
