Think of OnLive as the Netflix Watch Instantly of video gaming. For $9.99 a month, you get unlimited access to more than 70 games, which the service streams directly to your Windows PC, Mac or (with a $99 adapter) TV. As with Netflix's streaming video, OnLive's flat-rate offering won't satisfy everyone: some games are available only for rental or purchase at an extra cost, and plenty of major titles aren't on OnLive at all. You also need a speedy broadband connection. Still, it's a lot of entertainment for the money — and a giant step beyond driving to the mall and buying games on shiny silver discs.
