Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
Ellen has earned the reputation of being the most popular daytime talk show host, having won four hosting Emmy Awards and five Emmys for Outstanding Talk Show. She has danced her way into America's heart and even parlayed her popularity into a (short-lived) gig as a judge on American Idol. But behind the successful woman is a strong wife holding her own. Ellen wed actress Portia de Rossi in 2008 and the two have become a model for gay marital bliss, with de Rossi even announcing that she would take Ellen's last name in 2010. The other Mrs. DeGeneres is bad-ass in her own right: she starred in the cult hit T.V. show Arrested Development and the critically acclaimed (though poorly rated and now canceled) ABC sitcom Better Off Ted.
