"I've always promised you that if anything were going to happen that would threaten your very existence on this planet I'd let you know about it in a very melodramatic way," Glenn... er, Jon Stewart said on the April 7 episode of The Daily Show. Stewart dedicated that night's show to Beck's departure from Fox News, formatting The Daily Show as a direct parody to the conservative pundit's own program. Clownish facial expressions? Check. Unnecessary arm flailing? Check. Pregnant pauses? Unusual camera angles? Excessive shouting? Stewart had them all. "I'm not a prophet, ladies and gentleman," Stewart said at one point, while slobbering on his Beck-like reading glasses, "I'm just a man trying to kill 22 minutes 4 nights a week 42 weeks a year." He then proved emphatically that Glenn Beck was sent here by Jesus and that Obama's birth certificate proves that he's secretly a Mayan. Wait, are we sure this was a parody? This sounds like a typical Glenn Beck episode to us.
