Ta-Nehisi Coates
Like many of the world's best bloggers — including his colleague Jim Fallows — Atlantic senior editor Ta-Nehisi Coates is impossible to pigeonhole. Sure, he writes about politics, world affairs and other front-page news. But he regularly turns his attention to other matters: history, sports, computer games, his favorite Muppet moment. He is, above all, a thoughtful guy with diverse interests. You could pay the same compliment to the commenters on his posts, who refuse to live up to the stereotype of blog responders as blathering blowhards.
