Halle Berry vs. Gabriel Aubry
Halle Berry's custody case got particularly ugly when the issue of race entered the equation. In December of last year, Berry's ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry said he objected to his daughter being called black. Berry then fought to restrict his access to the child, with her rep telling People magazine that the actress had "serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time." Though the fight became a tabloid brawl, the dust settled in February 2011, not long after the worst of the battle. Reports say that the two have begun to work things out according to the terms of their original agreement.
