Super 8
J.J. Abrams, who dreamed up Lost and recalibrated the Star Trek franchise, offers this fanciful thriller about kids who witness a train crash while shooting a Super 8 movie. They suspect foul play, and, this being a sci-fi frightathon, they're probably right. With Steven Spielberg as producer, the movie may turn out to be The Goonies Have a Close Encounter in the Jaws of E.T. the Poltergeist. 6/10
